Getting ready for the party season is never an easy task. So many weddings, cocktails, birthdays, anniversaries, somehow, December is always a crazy month! Now you can barely control what's to come, but to avoid the last minute 'I-have-nothing-to-wear' panic, you can plan what you'll wear! I love my dresses, especially for occasions, because it's a perfect outfit all on it's own. But one dress won't do the trick. So here's a quick guide on how you can make your wardrobe party-friendly with just a few pieces!
Look for that one dress that fits you like a dream! A vibrant hue will always make sure that all eyes are on you. If you're not ready to wear all that colour yet, the classic LBD should do the trick.

This season, it's all about the pencil skirts and mini skirts. Find one in a colour or print that can be paired with various tops/blouses. A pencil skirt accentuates your curves and is perfect for those glamorous nights!
A little sequins is a must around this time! Be it a jacket, a pair of sparkly shorts, an embellished dress and if you're feeling a bit daring, even a jumpsuit. Pair it with jackets/blazers and minimalistic accessories to create the perfect ensemble.
A drappy blouse is another essential you cannot skip. It's the perfect blend of conservative yet sexy and you could pair it with your favourite skinny jeans to dance all night! It can't get easier.
Statement accessories! A pair of statement earrings or necklace is something that you must invest in. It adds so much to a simple outfit and it'll instantly transform your old black dress into a brand new one! A nude structured clutch/sling is also something that will get you through these array of events flawlessly.

So when you hit the malls this weekend, make a mental check list of all these things so that you don't miss out on anything!

Haven't you had one of those days when everything seems dull, boring and simply blah.  Sonu and I were having one such day an decided to hang out in our 'average outfits'.

Here's what we wore:
Sonu wore a vintage dress with a denim shirt
Dress, Carolyn| shirt, Lee| bag, United Colors of Benetton| shoes, Bandra| watch, Tommy Hilfiger

- Vintage dresses and denim jackets are every girl's best friends. Throw them on and they take you just about anywhere.
- Dress it up with a blazer and heels or dumb it down with crochet flats and a hobo.
- To go the whole hog with a vintage outfit, try to add antique gold jewellery and round rimmed sunglasses.

 Jasleen wore a monotone ensemble
Blouse, Pax| pants, Colaba Causeway| footwear, Forever 21| owl necklace, Promod| bag, gifted by my friend

- Mixing shades of the same hue is a lot of fun sometimes. It does get you to look washed out so a pop of colour on the cheeks, eyes or lips is a good way to add character without much ado.
- A nude dress or blouse is a classic must in the wardrobe and one should find something to complement the skin tone. Nothing to close to your skin colour or you will appear 'nude'.
- Well done hair and makeup can be the key to such as outfit's success. Try low slung pony tails, high buns or a messy French plait.

Firstly, a very happy Diwali to all our friends and supporters. We wish you all a lifetime of health, wealth and style.
Now back to work, our outfit post: Concentrating on colour.
People spend so much time and money investing in shades of blue denims over and over again. Instead try something new and buy a pair of denims in a candy colour shade like powder blue, mint green, candy floss pink or a deep shade like a red, blue or green.

Coloured pants are a simple way to add fun to an outfit. Also unlike what one might believe, coloured pants can match with a number of things. You can wear them with contrasting colours, mix prints or keep it chic with a basic beige, black or white blouse.

Here's a coloured pants chart for your reference:
